With the waterproofing and conversion of a listed building the foremost concern is to not alter the building structure or appearance beyond that which is allowed.

Project Description

Beautiful Basements was appointed as the specialist designer and installer for the waterproofing system in this project. The main contractor had the walls taken back to the bare brick and channels were excavated to allow for underground drainage.

Waterproofing Method

The internal walls and junctions with external walls and the vaulted ceilings were injected with a damp proof course and then interlinked with a cavity drainage membrane (CDM) on the external walls and floor.
The drainage for the basement was a combination of underground drainage and perimeter channels at the wall floor junction, all linked to a sump & pumping station.
